I did it once. It was horrible. I must've been about 9 or something and I remember pulling my mum's pink stool thing up in front of her wardrobe, and being full of trepidation as I opened the top cupboard

And there it was. A Subbuteo set sat staring at me. I immediately felt dirty, and shut the door much faster than when I had opened it

Christmas morning was horrible. Feigning surprise like when I unwrapped what I already knew I had... I was convinced they could see through my rapidly unravelling web of deceit

I lived with that guilt for many weeks afterwards, and it sullied an otherwise lovely christmas

Anybody else here ever do it? Ever do it more than once? I just hope you weren't as affected as I was. It was a dark time in the ol' Salmon place that year
