there's a pedestrian crossing near my house that i use every day. i do expect cars to give way to pedestrians but won't just stride out without looking/or am pretty sure they'll stop.

so this morning as i crossed, i looked to my right and it was clear. i sorta walked out halfway but there were cars approaching to my left. i was still within the halfway mark whereby if that driver didn't stop he wouldn't have hit me anyway.

but he did brake, a bit suddenly, to give way to me. the cyclist riding behind his car (and to his right! shouldn't cyclists keep to left hand side of road/cars?) then crashed into his car :( i think he was okay though.

but still, i feel pretty bad the whole day... mainly for the driver, actually.
