Is it a good idea? I'll soon be going out for the evening, not to get wasted or 'owt, just for a few drinks and some civilised conversation at a friends house. The options are:

a) a 25 minute walk there, followed by cold and lonely walk back much later on.

b) a 10 minute bike ride in the cold, followed by a potentially hazardous ride home.

Will option b result in death? I've never cycled under the influence you see.
