Has anyone been? Is it fun?

I'm thinking of going early next year, maybe heading up to California too. I'm at a point in my life where all my friends are starting to get their careers sorted out,, whilst I'm still doing a silly temping job, so I thought the best thing to do would be to go on a big expensive holiday for a few months :)
