I think I've done something really, really stupid

PocketMouse [Edit] [Delete] 13:57, 30 November '07

Okay, so I don't have a clue about money. I've never read a payslip, balance or bank statement in my life. Like ever. Seeing as I don't spend an awful lot usually, I didn't think it strange that my account still is functioning nicely and buying me stuff nearly two months after I quit my job. I mean, I'm not going to complain about that.

Well, anyhow, I just received a payslip for last month with my regular hours and pay, even though none of it was worked - judging by time, two of these would have gone through. So, anyhow, I'm pretty screwed because I don't think I can have much left in it at all, and obviously they're going to want this back.

So, basically, if I phone up now, and point out that I don't work for them any more, are they going to demand it all back instantly? Because I don't have it. And I don't know anyone that has it. And I don't have enough things to sell to cover it? What happens when people want money you don't have? How much trouble am I in, like, on a scale of 1 to 10?
