And it was pretty good. Some points:

I've read and love all three books and the film stayed pretty faithful to the bits it didn't miss out. However it did seem to cut every single scene short, it didn't quite flow properly, it was a bit here > here > here.

They completely missed the end of the book off! Say the last 3 chapters or so.

I think there's going to be a lot of disappointed short-attention-spanned people thinking it's a big epic fantasy war film with lots of fighting.

The bears were pretty impressive, and there was some beautiful scenery, especially the snow scenes.

I really want to see the next ones now :( That's a good sign though!
