The England Cricket team and other tales.

Reckoning [Edit] [Delete] 10:05, 5 December '07

Why are the English cricket team and all the bastard press around them so negative when it comes to England's chances of batting for vistory in a second innings? Look where we are now - 209-6! If we'd had scored another 60 runs over the course of the day we'd be in a position to win!!!?? I appreciate the odds are stacked against the team but surely there must be some desire to give it a go yet the press (aggers etc) described the target as a notional one as no team in their right mind would go for it. Australia anyone? I'd rather go out with a few guns blazing (especially at the start of the innings to test the water) than whimper along for ANOTHER last day salvage operation.

Also, Bell might be saving us now, but if he could catch, we would have won this test in 2 days (or something).
