Just got knocked back from my own work's christmas night out. Fucking ridiculous. My social life seems to be a series of disappointments.
But what's even worse is, my friend and "collegue" got knocked back too... Though he actually IS over 18 AND had drivers licence ID.

Situation: We approach Work Night Out along with two other guys from work. They all have driving licences but i have nothing, so friend 1 offers me his provisional as he has a student card. They ID us all. I hand over provisional and they accept it, but dont accept my friend's student card (at what is essentially a student bar). We say that he's quite obviously over 18, he presents his work ID and says there are people literally about 10 foot inside the door that can verify his age: they dont accept that either. They ask him his birthday and one of them (surprisingly) picks up that his birthdate is the same as on the provisional. We're rumbled.
I say "fair enough", give my friend back his ID and walk off. All is dissapointing for me, but what should be expected.
My friend after me 2 seconds later saying they wouldnt let him in either. What absolute cunts. He had ID. 2 types of ID. He kindly let me borrow his and he gets fucked over. Really not fair. It's not as if we were trying to trick them personally.

This furthers my theory that bouncers are, by nature, all complete knuckleheaded, spiteful cunts. There must be some sort of psychological revenge deal going on amongst bouncers: too thick to get a better job, so they have to freeze their arses off every night whilst other people enjoy themselves. I know one person on here is a bouncer, and i'm sure you know a bouncer and they're "dead nice", but if you thought that you'd be wrong.
