I love cats and dogs. I can't really look at one without saying something in an embarrassingly high pitched voice. I really want to be able to roll around/ frolic them, but I find that when I do I start to swell up like a ballon - a big, itchy, sneezy ballon. This means I can't really buy a cat, even though I would love to own one.

Does anyone else suffer from these sorts of allergies? Is there anything to done about it, or will I just have resign myself to associating with my own species? I don't really like the idea of taking antihistamines all the time, but I'm sure I heard they were developing some sort of jab to cure you of allergies. I've also heard about these sprays you can get for your pets, to stop them being allergy causing. Anyone know if they work?

I really want a cat.
