if people want the 'is' back on facebook, wouldn't it be better to just revert to rambling on about everything you're doing in paragraph form?

I definitely reckon it would be more fulfilling reading that than 'poking' someone and looking at the latest picture of them holding a drink.

Obviously some people won't be able to write in an interesting way and just post quizzes and all that tosh, but still. Isn't it worth a try?

Potential employers would be too lazy to read a blog entry about your drunken exploits. They probably wouldn't even notice you'd written anything - too busy scanning for pictures of you naked in a ditch or something.
