Having had this new site up for a couple of months now we've decided it's probably best for everyone, especially our legal action fearing sides of our brains if we take the social board off of the left-hand column's newest threads. The main reason for this is that we're first and foremost a music site and I think for any first time visitor the first impression is slightly confusing.

There are a few reasons, one being that some of the threads are utterly disgraceful (like the wanting to kill, rape and get some necro with Mylene Klass this morning) but also that the social board has seemed a bit inhibited in terms of little posts since the relaunch, people afraid to arrange little pre-gig meet-ups or stuff like that as there's a sense that more people are looking.

I think for most people they have the social board bookmarked and it's your own world and this won't make any real difference.
