When it came out I was 13 and thought myself above such childish nonsense. Somehow I've contrived not to take any of the countless opportunities to watch it over the last 25 years but finally sat down to watch it this evening with my wife and daughter.

What a great fucking film. Out of the three of us I cried the most I think.
