I've just spent what feels like my entire waking life drawing a path with the pen tool. It's a really complicated tracing, with lots of curves and so on.

I want to convert the path to a selection, but when I click that button, only the outline is marquee'd. None of the inner areas, within the main path, are selected. And I want to mask those, as well.

If anyone knows how to do it, you would be an absolute lifesaver.

(I'm using CS3, on a Mac)
