I have dark hair and a beard. For several years the hair was often shoulder length and every once in a while I have enjoyed being called Jesus by a passerby (normally dressed in some form of sportswear).

For about the last year I've been cutting my hair shorter and this (endlessly amusing) phenomenon has dried up completely.

Until last Thursday when I went into Hornchurch in Essex and a couple of wits called me Jesus out of the window of their Mums 4x4. My hair is about collar length at the moment so I'm kind of struggling with this.

Ok I was in an area where there does seem a pressure to look the same (eg white trainers, gold chain, Beckham/P Diddy-style diamond earring, quirkily cut and gelled spikey hair) but is a beard so bizarre as to inspire the biblical reference?

I'm pretty sure I wasn't dressed in a robe.

Does anyone else with a fuzzy face get this shit?
