You know the kind of thing, particularly popular at this time of year. They try and suck you in with their first issue "99p" but then in small print at the bottom its regular price £8.99.

Then once your hooked with a few issues, bare carcass of the boat for example, they radically reduce the item you get with each issue - miniature steering wheel. And then it takes about 8 years to finish the thing. Surely its cheaper and easier just to buy a ready made model in the first place?

Anyway, has anyone seen any adverts for this kind of thing so far? Does anyone actually buy them? What projects have you got on the go?
