She refused to hand over her kids, helicopters came, police came, and then she was carted off in an ambulance because she was either under the influence or had cracked up:

TMZ reports that “as [Britney] was brought out of the ambulance [at the hospital], she flipped off the waiting paparazzi.”

I’m not going to pretend that this news upsets me or that i’m hugely concerned for her. It is, however, fascinating and a little uncomfortable watching what appears to be someone’s mental health disintegrating right in front of the entire world.
