Would you ever hire a cleaner?

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 12:06, 12 January '08

My Landlord's just offered me a cleaner (he's clearly not overly-happy with the state of my flat!) and I'm highly tempted by the offer.

He's already got one who does his flats anyway and, at the price he's quoted me, could afford it without making huge lifestyle sacrifices.

But I also feel a bit conscious that I'd somehow be betraying some sort of left-wing semi-working class (both sets my grandparents were working class anyway although my Dad had done alright himself by the time me and my brother were born) principle, although I'm not too sure what this principle is or how I'd be betraying it.

Does anyone else have a cleaner? If not, would you? If not, why not?
