When you see a film at the cinema or old dvd, whatever - do you then go and rate it on IMDB? Have you EVER bothered?

I'm just trying to figure out why their ratings seem to be so utterly absurd. Examples: Videodrome - 7.2, Shawshank Redemption 9.2.
