New council tenants should be made to look for work or risk the possibility of being evicted says new housing minister Caroline Flint. Will this proposal work?

In an interview with The Guardian, Ms Flint recommends that new residents should be given "commitment contracts" and this could later be extended to existing tenants.

She also suggests that more job centres could be opened on the estates to tackle pockets of joblessness, and tenants who moved to take a job would be given priority in finding a new home.

thoughts?

this thread may bomb as it's not a GG thread. ah well.
