Picking up bizarre injuries and medical conditions

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 14:49, 7 February '08

Yesterday I played a gig. At some point during said gig I wore a latex glove on one hand.

Within an hour a reaction to the latex had given me sore skin around the wrist, around the neck and the face and the area around my eye had swelled up so badly I could barely even see.

This is probably a pretty unusual reaction to latex and was somewhat embarrassing due to the level of deformity. A girl I'd never met was sweet enough to give me an anti-histamine and some water which helped a bit but it was still pretty painful.

What's the most bizarre medical reaction/injury you've had recently?
