when i start up my laptop [running on windows xp] it displays this message:

DETAIL - Error performing inpage operation.

and then loads with a temporary profile, with a different wallpaper, none of my icons etc etc. like a default set up.

how do i get my settings / profile back? what might be causing it?

also, the power has cut out a couple of times.

please help!
