I need to start planning early for a trip I'm taking to the capital in a couple of weeks.

Is it best to find a private hire taxi rank and ask them to take you, or to get a black one?

Last time I was down, my female friends got a black cab home from the centre and it cost them about £25. They could cover it since there was about 4 of them, but these taxi fares alone are gonna clear me out.

Is there any way around them for after-hours travel, or should I just start saving and shut my fat little face?
