Politics: Double scraming hypocracy for the British Government

Mr_JDTraynor [Edit] [Delete] 12:19, 4 March '08

Ban Zimbabwean sports people from the UK:

Two screeching examples of hypocracy:
1) The Olympics is exempt from the ban becuase the government wouldn't want to upset their friends like sponsors BA or contractors Balfour Beatty who will make huge profits from the Olympics.
2) Mugabe has lost the plot; however, the actions of his government are tame compared to those of Israel. Yet, sporting links with Israel are OK, apparently.

The Zimbabwean government has failed, in may ways, but the British governments' attacks are entirely political, not moral. The Britsh government couldn't give a fuck about the plight of black Africans. What concerns the British government is the success of the seizure of power and the creation of Zimbabwe, which, despite the abject failure of Mugabe today, is still seen as an example that colonialists can be overthrown with force.
