Some notes on having lunch with work colleagues

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 14:52, 7 March '08

Until recently every job I had I always made a point of never going to lunch with my 'work colleagues, probably because I dispised or was bored easily by them and I have plenty of friends in London thank you very much now fuck off. Now 'all of a sudden/suddenly' I do this every week - is this because I'm becoming more tolerant or perhaps the people are actually nice?

In addition, spending lunchtime on your own because you 'can' other than because people loathe you and the only company you have is the mounrful pulsation of you broken heart is surely ok and more enjoyable isn't it?

Sometimes I used to take sandwiches to the platform of Charing Cross just to read the paper and occasionally look up as some faceless train pulled in and idly wondered why people were coming in to London at 12.47 on a Wednesday. I did feel a bit sad however, but anyway you GET MY POINT DONT YOU?

Sometimes solitary lunches are good no? Maybe if you had a 'lonely' childhood you just want to be on your own?
