have any horror stories of being locked out of your house?

i just had one in the making..the jammy key wouldn't open the front door, i tried forever and it's COLD out! i then walked through snow that was so deep that i thought i was stuck at one point up to my waist! got to the back door (the one that was unlocked my first night here and OH GOOD JOB STRAWBS i'd figured out how to lock) and key doesn't work. so trek back around to front, try again for superlong and finally it works. good thing as i was just about to throw a rock through the window..
(this is a lesson to all: give your neighbour a spare key!)
