Are there some names that you just can't abide due to a colleague, an acquaintance, a mortal enemy, a celebrity or a former lover who happened to share it?

Shelly makes me think of a hideously annoying (although physically attractive) woman that I used to have the misfortune to work with. I don't think I could ever be friends with anyone who shared the name.

Ruth is out due to a slightly unhinged ex, Emma would be out for the same reason, but, it's saved due to the fact that I know three other lovely Emmas.

I'll never trust a Simon either, they have a sinister agenda known only to themselves.

Obviously anyone who suggests Alex is WRONG for we are all engaging, intelligent types with incredible comic timing, pretty faces, great hair and come to bed eyes.
