1) People like to see themselves as being above animals, due to intelligence, being civilised etc.

2) People (particularly guys) use the excuse of simply being an “animal” to explain their inability to stay faithful to their partners or for generally not being able to control themselves sexually.

From this day forth people that can’t control themselves sexually will be known as animals and addressed accordingly.
