I posted this on DIY Doctor

Ricky_Ronco [Edit] [Delete] 14:59, 30 April '08

and had no replies.

"Does anyone have any experience of having to replace a hearth with floorboards ?

My problem is this: I want to sand the floorboards that are in my dining room but the chimney breast / fireplace that was originally in the room has been removed leaving a concrete / tiled hearth.

Is this something I should be getting a builder to do ? I have fairly decent DIY skills but am not sure whether this project will entail replacing joists etc.. Am I taking on something that usually requires a professional ?"

as no fucker bothered replying to me I thought I'd see what response I get on here. Comedy or otherwise..
