Did you ever have any of these?
You know, when you used to go to holiday camp things aged 11 or 12 and you went out to the basketball court to play basketball, but there were some other boys your age there already and they all went quiet when you showed up.

And this other time I was ice skating in a relatively small ice skating rink. Now I'm a pretty good skater, and this other guy was about the same, so we suddenly just started cutting each other up and stuff like that, as if it was an unspoken race or something.
(again i was 13)
