Cricket currently pays the counties from the TV revenues and a factor in the splitting up of this cash is the number of english players in the side.

If the FA split up the TV revenue along these lines wouldn't that encourage teams to field more English players?

Maybe make half the cash dependant on finishing position in the league (as currently set-up) and then make the other half be handed out in proportion to the number of game-minutes for players eligible for the england team.
