I'm taking my gf to meet my parents this weekend, I think she's a bit nervous about getting grilled with the whole 'what are you doing after uni' type questions. (It's maybe earlier in the relationship than I'd have liked to introduce her, but I don't go home very often.)

I reckon I get on with gf's parents quite well, I can be polite when I need to be and haven't really done much worse than waking people up if we got back to hers a bit worse for wear.
I was seeing one girl (from Woking, haha), and after going back to her house noticed her dad had a swastika tattooed on his arm, and there was lots of bits of car on the drive. That one didn't last long.

So...what are your tales of woe of meeting a gf/bf's parents?
