I've just spoken to my friend who is doing her PGCE at the moment and will be finishing this summer, and she said that her boyfriend (who earns about 70 grand a year) said she doesn't have to work over the summer and he'll support her until she starts her NQT year in Sept. Wouldn't you just love that, it would be like being at uni or school again, but even better because you'd actually have money and you could just spend your days doing exactly what you wanted. I'm so jealous.
