Some help with Windows Vista please...

medulla [Edit] [Delete] 10:38, 9 June '08

I have a Sony Walkman mp3 player for which i use the SonicStage software to transfer the files into ATRAC3 format (please no lecture on how it's half the quality - i know this, i listen to music mostly on my CD player).

I recently bought a laptop, but when i've tried to install SonicStage it can take several attempts and when it does finally install and i click 'Import CD' it says a system error has occurred and it has to close.

I figured it might be a problem because the SonicStage i have was released when XP was the latest Windows, and so it could be a compatability difficulty.

Does anyone know how this can be remedied? Or if there's any other software (downloadable or otherwise) that can be used for the transfer of music (i can't seem to figure out how Media Player works with my mp3 player).

Thank you in advance for any assistance, those who choose to contribute.
