Knowing how to play football but still being shit.

GalacticStar3ruption [Edit] [Delete] 13:54, 10 June '08

Pretty frustrating yeah?

Now I'm not naturally a sporty type but I love football so much that I played it a fair bit at school and trianed myself to be half decent (against my friends and other people I knew at least).
Since I left school I stopped playing so much, although recently I've started playing once a week. As much as I enjoy playing again I can get really frustrated when I'm playing badly. Basically it seems that if I don't play for a while I lose any skill that I had obtained.

The worst thing is that (without trying to sound to big-headed) I'm pretty sure that I know more about football than anyone else there (or at least the guys that I talk to). I'm still as cable as I ever was at intercepting passes and lose balls, probably because that's so much more in the mind than the body.

Thoughts?
