and you don't quite hear them properly. Not once, or twice but three times (*a lady*)?
I mean, it's fine to say "excuse me?" or "sorry?" maybe twice. But you can't keep saying it over and over.
Especially when talking to someone in an authoratitive position... like your MD. (this happened today over the phone - worried I responded in the wrong manner!).
So how do YOU deal with it?
