is it wrong to expect more money for doing a more difficult job?

davoirgoir [Edit] [Delete] 15:43, 19 June '08

ok, so recently i jokingly said that i should learn to do a more difficult version of my job and my manager took me up on it and said if i wanted they would train me.
Anyway, because of the fact that i had to chase a pay rise after my last promotion for about 4 months (which they didn't back date) i took her aside the other day to say if i do the training and i end up doing this difficult job i need to know that i'll get more money.
is that such an awful thing to ask?
Soooooo, just now i went up to another manager with a question and she told me she was very disappointed in me and that i should take a look in the mirror. i kind of shrugged at her and smiled but now i am fucking livid and i want to kick her desk in with a baseball bat.
