well....im bored of my glasses y'see...and ive fancied a change for a couple years but not had the dosh..

i'd like to go for a pair or older style woody allen frames or morrissey type nhs frames.

while i know it could all go terribly wrong and make me look like a pretentious prick, it could all go wonderfully right and i may find a pair of glasses that i dont mind wearing all the time that in turn make me look like a playright from the 50's.

so...
a) does anyone own a pair like this? how do you find them? where did you get them? etc etc.

and for everyone else

b) would they make me look like a try-hard stupid pretentious prick etc etc.

its a fine line i think.
