Small Problem (animal-lover-centric)

marilyninthesky [Edit] [Delete] 22:37, 27 June '08

A month ago a good friend of mine asked me to look after her boyfriend's dog for a week because he was having some problems etc etc.

Days...weeks went by...and now I'm really REALLY attached to the doggie (Poppy). My lifestyle is a bit different now, taking her for a walk before work...after work....taking her to my local etc etc.

And I adore her.

He hasn't been in touch with me for three weeks, and i've had her over a month.

This guy can barely look after himself, alone a dog. She was seriously underweight when I had her.

He phoned me just now, telling me he's collecting her on Sunday.

I know she's his dog, but am I oding the right thing? He hasn't got a secure home and she seems so happy here. Maybe I'm being selfish...and I guess it is a big commitment to have a dog, but she's adorable.

So, Sunday. Do I give her back? Or shall I offer to have her until he finds somewhere to live?
