Yesterday

I was bringing some brews into work, when just outside the entrance of my shop, I saw a woman throwing bits of food on the floor for a pigeon. When it started eating, she threw her coat on top of it.

Now, being an expert bird-keeper (yeah, in both ways x) I knew that this freezes birds and is generally what you do when there's something up.

Anyway it turns out that it had a huge nail stuck in its foot and it was dangling out, so this woman started trying to get the nail out.

How lovely of her. She got it out eventually. She was lovely. Only young too. About 30. Usually younger people don't like to be seen doing such things, especially with animals considered vermin by most people.

And then as I stood by watching her, some freelance photographer walked up and was like "Oh. What an odd thing to find. Can I have a few shots?" and got this huge camera out and took loads of photos of her with this bird.

Then she let it go and it flew off into the sky.

Then I sold about £1300's worth of second hand jewellery! What an achievement, especially in light of the theft of the £350 chain from the day before :(
