last night i had a few drinks after work, and i got the first round. it included a good summery pint of ale called Swallow (i can't remember the brewery) it was a pretty standard 40 minute pint, weighing in at around £2.30. fine, so as a man, when getting a round for 3 people at the end of the day i expect to pay roughly thrice the price of my drink, of course some people may choose the mildly more expensive lager options, but i will, albeit begrudgingly, be fine with getting that. Basically a round for three people at the beginning of the night is supposed to cost me roughly £7.50. what I do not expect, is to pay £11.50, for three drinks, two of which seem to have a turnaround time of 5 minutes. What is wrong with girls that seems to make them think they can waste my hard earned money on their silly little double Southern Comforts? I mean, I’ve only ever spoken to you for 10 minutes, and you expect me to get you a drink that costs twice as much as mine?!?! Of course, I can’t even things out when it’s her round and say, “well, as your tiny little drink last time cost me so much, I’ll take two pints of Exmoor Gold please”. Moreover, thanks for making my round so much, but you seem to have bought a single on your own round! If you really didn’t want to get drunk, why did you squeeze that extra pint out of my bank account? Women are so flaming selfish sometimes.
