yeah rats with wings, scourge of man kind and all that, but what else?

why do you never see pigeons just chillaxing? They're always on the move - obvs they rest at night but they cant just fly and walk for 10 hours a day can they?

why are they so rubbish at picking things up with their beaks? they never seem to aim, just peck and peck until they get something. do they just head into areas where there are loads of others and just start pecking?

But their a pretty successful species, numbers wise, so how come they're so rubbish?
