i was just messing around on the web searching for information about the definition and character of a 'hipster'. what does it mean to you guys?

the word itself seems to be more of an american label, but i guess the same thing applies over here?

even though people do not declare themselves as a hipster, do you think of yourself as subscribing to certain values?

do other people call you one? do you directly oppose 'hipsterism' (whatever the fuck that is).

or is it just another pathetic and useless term that mainstream media and popular culture has invented to describe something it is unfamiliar with?

and yes, i am bored. i'm meant to be searching for jobs. but i'm not.
