This is probably going to be a thorougly boring thread for most people, but I need to buy a new mp3 player in the next two weeks or so and I'd like recommendations, please. Some specs I want:

1)LOTS of memory. I'm living FAR away from home for the next 8 months, and although Ive got a hard disk drive it would be nice If it wasnt fudged up with my full CD collection.

2) It would be quite useful if it didnt make me its bitch. As in,not having to upload lots of software just to get it to work in the first instance. I know sony players are quite bad for this and I imagine that lots of newer versions of itunes do the same.

3)its got to travel well, and I want to be able to get parts/ accesories while away from home, (namely canada).
