I mean really, do any of you want to be paying taxes to keep the likes of Sunderland and Hull afloat? I'd burn the places and salt the earth afterwards so no-one can eat Parmo there again.

Also, there is historical prescedent. For one, the industrial revolution saw an exodus from the south to the very places we're now debating we should evacuate.

And finally, there's nothing I like more than the incoherent splutterings of an irate northerner.
