A question for DiS laydeez re. cooking

dove_from_above [Edit] [Delete] 16:22, 15 August '08

Alright girls. How's it going?

I have a question. For those of you who can't cook, is it ever a bit embarrassing when talking to other women, and it coming up that you're rubbish at it? Is it like a slightly lame taboo if a girl can't cook? Will your sisters look down on you?

I say this because my girlfriend can't really cook. She's cooked for me like, once. I have no problem with this whatsoever, as I can't cook either and I'm not a hypocrite. However, at stuff like family do's, whenever aunties, cousins whatever asks if she cooks, she's like "yeah, a little bit". When I step in and say "well actually, not really", she gets all defensive and makes me out to be some kind of filthy liar

Why is this?
