not just because I don't do much (well, partly) but...twats?

Why is it impressive that you climbed a Mountain or sailed around the world or whatever? Why on earth is this impressive to some people and not seen as stupid, dangerous (obviously) and irresponsible (rescue missions costing thousands and possibly causing injury/death to rescuers)

Fair enough people actually exploring, discovering stuff. These are ok, but Everest Climbers, why? It's been done. It's not a feat of human endurance, it's idiotic.

Also...marathons. Risking your own health and stuff for some big ego boost disguised as charity.
