Got back from abroad yesterday to find the soundtrack to Katamari Damacy ready for my listening pleasure.

What made me buy it was reading a description of the game itself which was essentially: "The king got drunk one day and wiped out most of the universe. As his son, it's your job to go round with a big sticky ball and use it to roll up material for much needed new stars and planets". And to illustrate it, the album cover is a massive pile of stadiums, ferris wheels, buildings, trees and other junk rolling over a hill toward a couple of worried looking cows.

I haven't played the game, but fuck it, it sounds awesome. And the soundtrack is the most belligerently twee thing I've heard all year. Syrup is bleeding from my ears.
