Legal advice.

John_Brainlove [Edit] [Delete] 13:26, 27 August '08

OK, so I had a suitcase stolen recently from an Oxford stagecoach. They make you put your case behind the driver's seat on the basis of 'health and safety'. Mine was subsequently stolen.

It had £800 of stuff in it including a video camera, CD stock from the Brainlove stall, all my DJ stuff, leads, chargers, medication, and an envelope full of cash from sales.

Stagecoach are refusing point blank to talk about compensation and say it would be on personal insurance that I don't have.

This is clearly not right. It's fucked up and unfair. I was never told the case was left at my own risk and I was never offered travel insurance when I paid for my ticket, and I wasn't given the option of keeping my luggage with me. As far as I'm concerned this is because of a failure on their policy, and they are refusing to carry the can for it.

I wanna know my legal position here.
Anyone?
