Music Social More…

Something I'd like to on DiS

soapy [Edit] [Delete] 21:58, 5 September '08

Opinion pieces written by the artists the site covers.
Not just 'it rained a lot, the van broke, someone got well drunk and i lost a shoe' tour diary stuff or 'how to make it as a young band' guides.
Pieces relating the more, for lack of a better term, artistic side of making music in the Indie world today.

The New York Times (of all places) currently hosts a blog called Measure for Measure where people like Jeffrey Lewis, Andrew Bird and Suzanne Vega ruminate on song writing and what it means to be a musician in times like these.

It's quite interesting and I think there could be some people on the 'scene' over here who have something worth hearing (reading).
Heck it doesn't even need to be about the 'art' of being a musician, maybe they could just have some editorial inches to fill with something neat be it music, art, or lifestyle.
