Best first step on trying to get better (economy centri)

creakyknees [Edit] [Delete] 12:02, 15 September '08

Is to recognise the major flaws in the underlying philosophy/approach.

Capitalism is not 'good'
Unfettered it encourages greed and lying and deciept
It disenpowers more than it enpowers
People will always 'work to survive' unless they cannot see that they need to work, only complex economic models make it seem to some people that they can be comfy by doing bugger all
It is NOT right to disconnect people from each other and try to encourage more interaction through financial transactions

stuff like that.

Staple Food
Water
shelter

should not be market playthings to the degree that they have become,
because deprived of these, as a human animal, then i could not blame anyone for wanting to try to get them by whatever means (legal or illegal) if they cannot obtain them when there is largesse elsewhere

These things should not be incorporated into the gambling system that they have been.

Securing these against other risks needs to be every governments concern.

If governments fail to do this then they cannot expect the people that they rule (I choozse the term rule deliberately) to abide by law and regulation
